This infant male Black Tailed Deer was discovered huddled by his mother who had received fatal injuries from a car. Scared and confused, this little deer waited to be rescued. He was captured and brought to the BC SPCA's Wild Arc Facility.

Upon arrival this Black Tailed Deer received a full medical examination to ensure he had not been victim to any injuries from the vehicle as well. He was then placed in a pen with a ready-made family of deer. During the past few weeks he has been eating quite well and growing up fast! He will be ready for release in the fall.

Thanks to the Biscuit Fund and it's partnership with Wild Arc, injured wildlife will receive the medical treatment they require so that they may once again live freely in their natural environment.
